Meaning
The Choleric temperament is defined by drive, decisiveness, and a natural orientation toward action and results. Cholerics are goal-oriented, confident, and comfortable taking charge.
Strengths
Strong natural leadership; decisive under pressure; sets clear goals and pushes to achieve them; confident and self-motivated; thrives in high-stakes or high-responsibility situations.
Weaknesses
Can come across as blunt, impatient, or domineering; may struggle to slow down for others’ emotional needs; can be resistant to feedback or being told what to do; prioritizes efficiency over relationship-maintenance, sometimes at a cost.
Communication Style
Direct, efficient, and to the point. Cholerics want conclusions, not preambles, and can get visibly frustrated by indecision or over-explanation in others. This directness reads as confidence to some and as harshness to others, depending on delivery.
